The first African trade show and dialogue dedicated to assistive technology
AT EXPO AFRICA 2027 is put forward as the first African trade show and international dialogue focused on assistive technology, care and rehabilitation.
Hosted by the Government of Senegal, in partnership with the African Organization for the Development of Centers for People with Disabilities (OADCPH) and ATscale, the inaugural 2027 edition opens a biennial series that will travel to different African countries, building collaboration, partnerships and shared knowledge over time.
What the event is working towards
- Promoting exchange and networking among African and international policymakers, manufacturers, buyers, distributors, professional associations and organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs).
- Raising awareness among policymakers of the importance of investing in assistive technology, while helping mobilise funding and resources.
- Supporting the local adaptation and production of assistive technology suited to the continent's needs, while fostering international collaboration and knowledge transfer.
